Te Tuhi

On Tuesday, we were lucky enough to go and visit Te Tuhi Art Centre.

It was fantastic to learn about how colour can help us learn languages and mathematics.

We did some great painting and learnt how to mix colours.

We looked at:
Primary colours - red, yellow and blue

Secondary colours: green, orange and purple
We mix two primary colours to make these

Tertiary colours: lime green and red purple
We mix a primary and a secondary to make these

Check our the photos and writing from our trip.

I liked art because we did this with Miss Charlesworth. But it was six in the colour wheel not eight. The one that we did was eight. We coloured in blue, red, yellow and green and red, purple and lime green and orange. That was all the colours that we finished. I feel happy because I like the art. The first part was walking and going on the green bus.

Hi room 7,

We love painting. We painted the colour wheels to teach us the primary colours, the secondary colours and the tertiary colours and how to mix them.
